WHITING & DAVIS MESH BAG AND STRATTON COMPACT

Always in style, this timeless Whiting and Davis gold tone mesh handbag has a carved Lucite and rhinestone clasp. Measuring about 7 3/4 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches at the bottom, not counting the handle chain, the classic bag has golden silk lining and is signed on the frame and the lining. Circa 1950's. Lining has pulled away at one corner but is easily re-stitched. Frame has normal wear and surface scratches. Very good condition! 
Tucked in the purse is a vintage Stratton  compact.

Delicately etched and enamels, this mint compact retains the original instruction label on the mirror as well as original puff and screen in unused condition! Machine turned star designs on the back.
